After the submission period closed back in September 2017, Swiss Head Of Delegation Reto Peritz wanted to thank everyone involved on it after collecting 670 entries: “We are very pleased that the interest in the music producers for the ‘Eurovision Song Contest’ in Switzerland is so great and thank you for all contributions”.

All 670 songs were evaluated by an internal commission, made up of 20 music and TV professionals but also Eurovision fans, approached by the Swiss Delegation, so that they organised a song-writing camp where both national and international composers took part in order to create songs for the national selection, willing to improve their last set of results in the contest.  It was reported that a wide variety of sounds including “Dirty Pop” and “Bohemian Electronic Vibe” developed from the song-writing process.

Die Entscheidungsshow 2018 will be held next February 4th live from Zurich where the winner will be crowned 50/50 thanks to the combination of the votes from the audience with their SMS’ and the outcome of an international expert panel.
