Tonight the first semi-final of Latvia’s national selection show Supernova kicks off in Riga. The following acts will compete for spots in the grand final being held on February 16th.

- Elza Rozentāle – “You came on tiptoe”
- Aivo Oskis – “Somebody’s got my lover”
- Alekss Silvērs – “Fireworks”
- Līga Rīdere – “Būšu tepat”
- Kris & Oz – “Midnight streets”
- Laime pilnīga -“Awe”
The remaining semi-finalists will perform next week:
- Adriana Miglāne – “Scared of love”
- Markus Riva – “You make me so crazy”
- Dziļi Violets feat. Kozmens – “Tautasdziesma”
- Laika upe – “Listen to the way that I breathe”
- Double Faced Eels – “Fire
- Carousel – “That Night”
- Kristiāna Bumbiere – “Remedy”
- Kristīne Pastare (Peress) – “Smaragdi un pelni”
This year’s hosts will be Latvian TV personalities Dagmara Legant and Ketija Šēnberga.
In addition to the jury vote, the audience at home who can also call, text, and vote via the Supernova website for their favourite, with a limit on one vote per fan. Spotify streams will also be taken into consideration in the final points calculation. Four acts will go through to the final of Supernova 2019, where the winner will be crowned on February 16th.
