Tautumeitas win Supernova 2025 and will represent Latvia at Eurovision 2025: Full Results

The band secures victory in Supernova 2025 with "Bur man laimi" and will fly the Latvian flag in Basel.

Tautumeitas will take on the challenge of representing Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. The winners of Supernova aim to secure another place in the Grand Final for Latvia, following Dons’ qualification last year with “Hollow.”

With just over three months to go until the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, Latvia has chosen its representative. The combined votes of a professional jury and the public have crowned Tautumeitas as the winners of Supernova 2025, earning them the ticket to Basel this May for Europe’s biggest music event.

After an intense semi-final featuring 19 artists, including one withdrawal, Latvian broadcaster LTV concluded its national selection process with the much-anticipated Supernova final. The Grand Final took place on Saturday, February 8, at 20:10 CET, with 10 acts competing for the right to represent Latvia at Eurovision 2025. The wait is over—Latvia has its next Eurovision act, succeeding Dons, who finished 16th last year with “Hollow.”

The show opened with Chris Noah and concluded with Emilija, while the competition’s hot favorite, The Ludvig, performed sixth, kicking off the second half of the night. Other standout performances included Tautumeitas, who took the stage in eighth place, and former Eurovision representatives Citi Zēni, performing fourth.

Following the jury and televote results, Tautumeitas with their song “Bur man laimi” secured first place, with Emilija and “Heartbeat” finishing as runner-up, and Citi Zēni placing third.

Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest

Latvia made its Eurovision debut in 2000 and has been a regular participant ever since. The country has consistently selected its entry through a national selection process, initially under the name Eirodziesma and, since 2015, as Supernova.

Latvia has one Eurovision victory to its name, achieved by Marie N with “I Wanna” in Tallinn 2002, as well as a third-place finish in its debut year, Stockholm 2000, with Brainstorm’s “My Star.”
