The 28 lucky names who will take part in the Swedish extravanganza, Melodifestivalen, will be announced partly, the ones competing in the 1st and 2nd semifinal on Monday 24th and the rest on Tuesday 25th, divided into 2 press conferences. We already known Kalle Johansson as the winner of Svensktoppen Nästa who was directly given a ticket to enter next year’s edition.
Christer Björkman said that the participant list is clear, but that they will “leave a small window open during the weekend”. He added that there is something for everyone, within the 28 songs which have been selected, diversity in terms of the music style among the entries. Male singers prevail this year among all the candidates.
The 2015 Melodifestivalen kicks off on February 7th with the first semifinal from Scandinavium in Gothenburg and ends with the grand final on March 13 from Friends Arena in Stockholm. Sanna Nielsen, last year’s Swedish entry will be the host together with Robin Paulsson.
