Moldova: Natalia Gordienko presents Sugar, her song for Eurovision 2021

Today, the Moldovan singer and professional dancer of Ukrainian origin Natalia Gordienko has released her song “Sugar”, a sexy and playful song that she will defend at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.

The artist unveiled the cover of her 2021 Eurovision song several weeks ago with the following statement: “Life is short – break the rules, say goodbye quickly, laugh uncontrollably, kiss slowly and love sincerely! Get ready to welcome spring with a lot of sugar in your life!”

Natalia won the Moldovan national selection “O Melodie Pentru Europa 2020” with her song “Prison”, beating 18 other entries. In the end, Gordienko couldn’t travel to Rotterdam because of the cancellation of Eurovision 2020 as a result of the severe health crisis that hit the world. The Moldovan television, TRM, confirmed in January that it had selected Natalia internally to represent Moldova in Rotterdam.

We remind you that Natalia Gordienco is not new to Eurovision as this will be her second time representing Moldova, you might remember her from Eurovision 2006, where she performed the song “Loca” along with Arsenium.

Moldova’s history in the Eurovision Song Contest has been quite good, as out of their ten songs that have managed to qualify for the Eurovision Song Contest final, four have finished in the top ten. However, in 2008, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019 they failed to make it to the final.

What do you think of Natalia Gordienko’s entry for Eurovision 2021? Do you think Moldova will go through to the final this year?
