The brand new Latvian selection for Eurovision 2015 will start tonight!
“Supernova” will consist of four shows, including two previous heats (held today and next Sunday), a semi-final (February 15) and a grand final set on February 22.
Today’s show will be broadcasted live from Riga and it will be hosted by Ketija Šēnberga and Toms Grēviņš. During this heat, 10 participants will have to show their singing skills to the audience and professional jury.
The following songs will be performed tonight:
- Katrīna Cīrule – Bass
- Lana Frančeska – Lions
- Atis Ieviņš – Catfish
- Milenin & Kamilla – Colours of Love
- Antra Stafecka – It’s the Night
- Framest – Ziemā
- Linda Ķaukule – Save Our Love
- MNTHA – Nefelibata
- Rihards Saule – Life Lines
- ElektroFolk – Sundance
The professional jury will be made up of four Latvian music experts: Kaspars Roga (who represented Latvia at Eurovision 2000 playing the drums as member of the band “Brainstorm”), Guntars Racs (producer and songwriter), Dons (singer and songwriter who came second at last year’s Latvian selection “Eirodziesma 2014”) and Ieva Kerevica (singer).
At the end of the show, the jury panel will select two acts that will make it to the semi-final while other two will be decided by the audience. However, the non-qualifiers will have a second chance since, during the whole the contest, the jury will be able to select an eliminated song and make it qualify instead of one of the qualified entries.
At the national final, just the audience will decide the winner in two different voting rounds including a superfinal.
