Andy Shaw, a skilled 14-year old male singer/songwriter whose breakthrough appearance was at the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest as a special guest, and Gaia Cauchi, a female singer/songwriter best known for winning the 2013 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with “The Start” co-written with Elton Zarb, Gillian Attard and Matthew Mercieca (Muxu), have decided to share their mutual love towards music, by recording “Love Me Like You Do”, a song from the highly acclaimed motion picture ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ as a duet.
Recorded, mixed and produced by Cyprian Cassar at Tenishia Studios, the release of “Love Me Like You Do” is supported with a monochromatic music video, specifically created by Joseph Agius to reflect the lyrical context of the song. “Love Me Like You Do”, written by Max Martin, Savan Kotecha, Ilya Salmanzadeh, Ali Payami and Tove Nilsson is an emotional ballad which would be best described as synthpop, originally interpreted by British female singer/songwriter Ellie Goulding.
As a duet, Andy and Gaia gave the song a completely different feel, altering the meaning of the lyrics ever so slightly, encompassing the true meaning of friendship, rather than staying loyal to the lustful meaning, as exhibited in the original version.

It’s nice, however, I hope to see a music video for “Children of the Future”. 😉
