AVRO, the broadcaster in charge of the Dutch participation at Junior Eurovision has just launched a new feature: the “Junior Songwriter School”!
The Dutch broadcaster open submission for this year’s Junior Songfestival before Junior Eurovision and just a day after the final of the 2014 edition. The “Junior Songwriter School” is a novelty at this year’s national selection and expects to teach children and teenagers how to write a song by themselves.
This on-line course will teach the contenders how to write a song through 5 video tutorials made by Kirsten Schneider. This professional singer and songwriter will explain the necessary steps to compose the perfect song for Junior Eurovision:
- ¿How to choose a song?
- ¿Which are the parts of a song?
- ¿How to write the lyrics?
- ¿How to compose the music?
- ¿How to record your audition video?
In addition to this, AVRO is offering a free workshop where everyone who wants to take part at Junior Songfestival and doesn’t know how to write a song can be helped. The workshop will take the 8th of February in VondelCS located in Amsterdam and it will be directed by Kirsten Schneider.
Submissions for the Dutch Junior Songfestival will be open until March 7. Find full information here.
