Giorgi Rostiashvili to represent Georgia at Junior Eurovision 2019

The first Junior Eurovision 2019 entrant has just been selected! Giorgi Rostiashvili has won the second edition of Ranina, the Georgian national selection show. Ana Berishvili and Anastasia Garsevanishvili have finished second and third, and will also travel to Poland.

The final took place live at Tbilisi’s Liberty Square, with many well-known Georgian artists as special guests due to the celebration of the country’s Independence Day.

In late 2018, GPB launched the second edition of ‘Ranina’. This season has featured ten shows in which the ten candidates have been able to showcase their vocal abilities performing alongside famous Georgian performers and a live orchestra. All the results were decided by a professional jury panel headed by Dato Evgenidze.

The host of Ranina was David Aladashvili, a worldwide famous pianist that has participated in several campaigns to promote music in children, accompanied by Lela Meburishvili in the green room.

Last year, Tamar Edilashvili was the winner of the Georgian ‘mega-project’ and got to perform on the Junior Eurovision stage with the song ‘Your Voice’, where she finished 8th.

All the performances and the full shows can can watched on Ranina’s official YouTube channel.
