As previously announced, 50 percent of the total outcome of both Semi-Finals and the Grand Final of ‘Eurostream 2020’ will come from professional juries in the 41 participating countries. We want to include the fan community from all over Europe and beyond, and hereby invite everyone to become a spokesperson from their country. Chosen applicants will record a video in which they announce the actual jury results from their country, which will be integrated in the live broadcast of the Grand Final on Saturday 9 May.
All fans of the Eurovision Song Contest can apply to act as a spokesperson during the Grand Final of ‘Eurostream 2020’ for their country. People who are interested in filling up the 41 vacancies are required to fill out a Google Forms and submit a mock video announcing 8, 10 and 12 points to three countries of their choice. Preference will be given to people residing in the 41 countries participating in ‘Eurostream 2020’. Videos can be submitted via social media, with the hashtag #Eurostream2020, or by submitting a link to WeTransfer. However, filling out the Google Forms is mandatory in order to be considered. The submission deadline is Sunday 3 May 2020, 23:59 CET. Chosen spokespersons will be informed shortly afterwards.
We strive to have 41 different people to announce the jury results from 41 different countries, and as such to travel through the European continent and Australia in the typical way as seen annually during the actual voting of the Eurovision Song Contest. Meanwhile, the next ‘Eurostream 2020’ event will be the draw for the first Semi-Final. This will be broadcast live via the ‘Eurostream 2020’ Facebook page next week Tuesday 21 April from 20:00 CET onwards. During this ceremony, the 17 countries participating in Semi-Final 1 will be randomly assigned a slot in the running order. Germany and Italy, prequalified for the Grand Final but with its national juries voting along in Semi-Final 1, will also receive their performance slot for the Grand Final. The Netherlands will retain slot 23, which was drawn randomly at the Head of Delegations Meeting of the EBU held last month.
Note that in both Semi-Finals and the Grand Final, fans from all over the world will be able to vote online. Only the jury votes are limited to countries either participating or randomly assigned to vote in a Semi-Final during the official Allocation Draw held last January.
