BREAKING: JESC Dutch final line-up changes – Two performers test positive for Coronavirus

AVROTROS has just announced two of the performers that were meant to compete at today’s Junior Songfestival final won’t be taking part in the show because of testing positive for Coronavirus. Robin, the solo act, and Demi, one of the members of the girl band Unity won’t be in the line-up, so only 3 entries are still in the race to represent The Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2020.

Today the final of Junior Songfestival 2020 will take place at Rotterdam’s Ahoy. Four acts had been selected to take part in the Dutch national selection, but, unfortunately, two of the performers are no longer in the competition. All the participants, judges and crew were tested for Coronavirus and turned to be positive for Robin and Demi (asymptomatic), as well as for one of the adult jury members, Emma Heesters. That means only 3 songs will compete at the show that will be held this evening, Robin won’t be eligible to win the national final, while only three of the four members of Unity will perform today. However, if they get selected, Demi will be able to join them at Junior Eurovision. AVROTROS has stated that it’s not possible to postpone or change the date of the final.
