5 names reported for Greece’s 2018 national final

According to some local fansites, ERT has asked national record companies to send their proposals of potential candidates to compete in the 2018 Greek national final. ESCToday has revealed that the broadcaster has received 20 entries, while other sites are reporting the five names that will take part in the show. 

ERT told ESCToday:

An internal artistic committee has indeed examined 20 candidate songs, submitted by record companies following the letter sent earlier. The committee focused on five songs. Their recommendation will be examined by a working group, that will be setup in order to determine the next steps towards the organization of a national final.

Record labels were asked to submit songs full in Greek with ethnic vibes. This is the final line-up according to recent reports:

• Areti Ketime – Don’t forget the Sun
• Chorostalites – Apo tin Thraki os tin Kriti
• Duo Fina – Idio Tempo
• Gianna Terzi – To oniro mou
• Tony Vlachos – Baila Jazz

The Greek national final is expected to be held by the end of February 2018.
