This country-pop trio, who first gained attention on the British talent show The Voice UK, has an ever-growing following on TikTok. Their rise to fame reached new heights in 2024, and now, Eurovision becomes their next big step in their career.

Who Are Remember Monday?

Remember Monday’s participation in Eurovision 2025 marks the first time in over 25 years that a girl group will represent the UK in the competition. This historic return of a female trio underscores the diversity of talent coming from the United Kingdom.

Remember Monday is a British country-pop trio consisting of Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull, and Charlotte Steele. Known for their impeccable vocal harmonies and a blend of modern country and pop, they have become one of the UK’s most promising emerging pop groups. Since their beginnings, the group has displayed a deep passion for music and a strong connection with their fans, paving a long-lasting fanbase.

The trio’s journey began at Sixth Form College Farnborough, where they bonded over their shared love for music. Initially a five-member band called Houston, the group later rebranded to Remember Monday in 2018, marking a new chapter in their musical career.

Their early covers and social media performances garnered significant attention, helping them secure a loyal fan base and opening doors to greater opportunities.

Breakthrough on The Voice UK (2019)

In 2019, Remember Monday took a major step by auditioning for The Voice UK, one of the most prominent music talent shows in the UK. During the blind auditions, they wowed the judges with their rendition of “Kiss from a Rose” and landed a spot on Jennifer Hudson’s team.

Throughout the competition, they impressed with their versatility and originality. Their boldest moment came during the semi-finals when they performed an original song, “Jailbreaker,” standing out as few contestants chose to perform their own material. Although they didn’t make it to the final, The Voice UK significantly boosted their profile in the music industry.

Post-The Voice UK: A Rising Career

After their appearance on The Voice UK, Remember Monday continued to develop their music career. In 2020, they released “Drive,” marking a new era for the trio with a unique blend of American country and British pop influences. In 2021, their viral TikTok cover of Queen’s “Fat Bottomed Girls” gained massive attention, with Queen’s guitarist Brian May even sharing their video on Instagram, propelling the band to international fame.

Their version of the iconic song was later recorded as a single and went viral on YouTube, amassing over 4.7 million views. In 2022, they released their EP Hysterical Women, which reflected their artistic growth and addressed themes of woman empowerment and personal experiences. One of their standout singles, “Nothing Nice to Say,” helped expand their fan base and solidify their musical identity.

That same year, they sold out shows at London’s Omeara and Lafayette venues and supported major artists such as Billy Joel, Natasha Bedingfield, and Eric Paisley. In 2023, they continued to release successful singles like “Show Face” and “Laugh About It”, finishing the year with a new EP, Crazy Anyway, which featured five tracks, four of them new. Their growing popularity was evident when they performed at BBC Radio 2’s C2C Festival at the O2 Arena and appeared as guests on The Jennifer Hudson Show.

You can check the full lyrics of “What the hell just happened” below”:

Someone lost a shoe
I’m still in last night’s make up
I’m wakin’ up like, “What’s this new tattoo?”

Room is spinning
Ears are ringing
Clutch my pearls like

What the hell just happened?
What the hell just happened?
No clue, but l liked it

(One, two, one, two, three)

Broke a heel, lost my keys, scraped my knee
When I fell from the chandelier, oh
What a night, I don’t mind, it was time
To unwind and I volunteered

Look at me now (Look at me now)
I’m like usually keep it clean
Beauty sleep, sip my tea

What the hell just happened?
What the hell just happened?
Went up on the roof, jumped into the pool
You should do it too, too, too, too
What the hell just happened?
No clue, but l liked it

Ripped my dress, called my ex, I confess
I’m obsessed, not the best idea, woo
I’m a mess, it’s a trend, in my defence
It’s been a real hard year

(Freedom) I wanna shave my head, oh
(Freedom) I’ll paint the whole town red, oh
(Freedom) I wanna kiss a stranger

What the hell just
Happened? Woo
What the hell just happened?
What the hell just happened? (Yeah)
What the hell just happened? (Oh)
Went up on the roof (Hey), jumped into the pool (Hey)
You should do it too, too, too, too (Oh, you should do it too, oh no)
I know that I’m a wreck (Hey), what did you expect? ([?])
You can blame my ex
What the hell just happened?
No clue, but l liked it
