Review the viewing figures for the Eurovision 2025 final across different television networks on Europe

Eurovision 2025 held its Grand Final this Saturday, where we found out that JJ (Johannes Pietsch) was crowned the winner of the 69th edition of the contest with the song “Wasted Love”, after being the favorite of the professional jury and finishing fourth in the public vote.

The show started at 21:00 CEST and lasted 4 hours and 10 minutes. During the Grand Final, we enjoyed performances from, among others, Nemo, winner of Eurovision 2024, who opened the show and also performed midway through with a new song. The night also featured the return of some historic Eurovision participants and performances by the runners-up of Eurovision 2023 and 2024 as part of the interval acts.

The final reaches high data in the Nordics, the Netherlands, and Greece; drops in Austria despite winning, and improves among the Big Five

Among the audience figures, Finland stands out in particular, where the Grand Final of the contest reached an astounding 93% share with 1,644,000 viewers. The final also triumphed in Sweden with 2,577,000 viewers, and in Norway, where it reached an 84.2% share with 815,000 viewers. The Netherlands returned to the final after Joost Klein’s disqualification last year, and the show was a hit with a 75.2% share and 3,285,000 viewers, as well as in Greece, where the Eurovision 2025 final once again triumphed with a 70.8% share and 2,755,000 viewers.

In Austria, winner of Eurovision 2025, the show was followed on average by 897,000 viewers with a 48.1% share, dropping compared to 2024 despite winning the contest. In Portugal, the Grand Final lost viewership compared to 2024, dropping 1.4 points with 866,600 viewers and a 20.5% share. In Australia, the live broadcast of the Grand Final reached 284,000 viewers, an increase compared to 2024.

Among the Eurovision Big Five countries, the United Kingdom stands out, where the Grand Final reached a 54.14% share, and despite dropping 2 points compared to 2024, it was watched by 6,690,000 viewers. In Spain, the Grand Final was watched by 5,884,000 viewers, achieving a 50.1% share. In Germany, the final achieved the best result since 2016, rising 7 points compared to 2024 with a 43.8% share and 8,547,000 viewers on Das Erste, and a 3% share with 585,000 viewers on ONE. In France, the final reached a total of 5,284,000 viewers with a 40% share, up 3.2 points compared to 2024. In Italy, the Grand Final maintained figures similar to 2024, dropping just a tenth, with a 33.9% share and 4,756,000 viewers.
