United Kingdom 2024: Olly Alexander releases snippet of his Eurovision entry

The UK’s next representative, Olly Alexander, has released a snippet of his upcoming Eurovision entry, “Dizzy”. He did so on his social media.

Olly Alexander, the United Kingdom’s next Eurovision representative, released a teaser of his Eurovision song, “Dizzy”, on February 7th 2024. He posted the teaser on his social media, but also on the Instagram page of the BBC. The full song will be released on March 1st 2024. Dizzy will be Olly Alexander’s first solo-single, as he is the lead singer of the well-known band Years & Years, known for the smash hit “King”.

The song Dizzy has an early 2000’s electronic Latin pop vibe, and is driven by synthesizers.

When will Olly Alexander perform in Eurovision 2024?

Olly Alexander will perform for the UK in the Grand Final on May 11th 2024, because the UK is one of the Big Five countries, so they do not compete in the Semi-finals. Next to this, Olly’s performance will be shown in Semi-final 1 on May 7th 2024.

Who represented the UK in the contest of 2023?

Last year, when the UK co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with war-stricken Ukraine, it was Mae Muller who represented the United Kingdom with “I Wrote A Song”. Mae did not do well, ending second to last in the Grand Final.
