Denmark 2024: This is the running order of the Danish national final

On February 17th the Danish national final, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2024, will take place, live from Copenhagen. During this televised show the Danish representer will be chosen for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö (Sweden). DR, the Danish national broadcaster, has released the running order of the eight acts on February 5th 2024.

This year’s Danish national final, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2024, will take place in Denmark’s capital, Copenhagen, in the DR Koncerthuset. The show will have two hosts, Stéphanie Surrugue and Sara Bro. The eventual winner will be chosen by both a professional jury and public voting. The number of jury members has increased and some of the jury members will be international, these are changes compared to past years.

What is the set-up of the Danish national final?

The set-up of the Danish national final is the following: There will be two parts. In the first round, all eight acts will perform, and they will be judged by both the professional jury and the public. The three acts with the highest score will progress to the superfinal. In the next phase lines will open again and the act with the highest score will fly the flag in Malmö for Denmark.

The Danish people can already listen to the songs in a special app, governed by the Danish national broadcaster, DR. From the app the audience can start voting for their favourites as of February 10th 2024, which is one week before the actual televised live show of the Danish national final.

Who represented Denmark in Eurovision 2023?

In the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 Denmark was represented by Reilley with the Kpop-infused song “Breaking My Heart”. Unfortunately Reilley did not make it into the Grand Final, ending in 14th position (of 16) in Semi-final 2.
