United Kingdom 2024: Olly Alexander releases “Dizzy”!

Today the entry of the United Kingdom was released, the name of the song by Olly Alexander is “Dizzy”. Before today’s release we already knew about who is going to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö (Sweden), this was announced on December 16th 2024, and the name of his entry was revealed on February 6th 2024. About “Dizzy”

Dizzy is an uptempo electro dance track that has ‘80’s and ‘90’s influences throughout. The song has been written by Olly Alexander himself, but also by Danny L Harle, who is a music producer that is very much in-demand nowadays, supported by the fact that he has worked together with Dua Lipa.

When will the United Kingdom perform in Eurovision 2024?

The UK will perform in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, since this country is one of the Big Five countries, thus they do not need to compete in the Semi-finals which will take place on May 7th and 9th 20224.

In the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool (United Kingdom) Mae Muller with the song “I Wrote a Song” took the stage for her home country, which was also the co-hosting country that year, together with war-stricken Ukraine.
