Austria 2024: Kaleen releases her Eurovision entry, “We Will Rave”!

On January 14th 2024 Kaleen was announced as the next Austrian representative, and today she released her Eurovision 2024 entry, “We Will Rave”, a Eurodance song that will have everybody on their feet during the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö (Sweden).

We Will Rave

The name of this year’s Eurovision entry of Austria is “We Will Rave”. The song is written by well-known professionals in the music business with the likes of Anderz Wrethov, Jimmy “Joker” Thörnfeldt, Julie Aagaard and Thomas Stengaard. Kaleen describes the song as very powerful, positive and uplifting; it is about the permanent motto of the contest “United by Music”, because by raving together, we can overcome our greatest differences. For Kaleen performing dance music is quite different from the music genres she usually takes on, so for her it is also a great challenge.

Internal selection

Kaleen was chosen through an internal selection governed by ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster, this was announced on January 14th 2024 during a radio show. Kaleen was chosen by a professional jury and Eurovision fan clubs. 14 acts in total were in the race to represent Austria in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.

When will Austria perform in Eurovision 2024?

Austria will perform in the first half of the second Semi-final in Eurovision 2024; this Semi-final takes place on May 9th 2024.

Who competed for Austria in Eurovision 2023?

In the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool (UK) Teya and Salena competed for Austria with the song “Who the Hell is Edgar?”. The duo ended in 2nd place (of 16) in Semi-final 2, and eventually took the 15th place (of 26) in the Grand Final.
