Austria 2024: It is Kaleen for Austria!

Kaleen has been internally selected by the national public broadcaster of Austria, ORF, to compete for this country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö (Sweden). Kaleen was presented on the morning show “Ö3 Wecker” on Austrian radio station Hitradio Ö3. 14 Acts were chosen to do a live audition in front of ORF’s selection committee and several fan clubs, and eventually Kaleen won over everybody’s hearts.

Kaleen is an Austrian singer, songwriter, but also a professional dancer from Austria’s capital, Vienna. Kaleen has won numerous awards for her talents. Supposedly Kaleen can be best described as early-career Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, and her music can be depicted as “very poppy”.

For what is Kaleen known in the Eurovision Song Contest?

Kaleen is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest, she has been a stand-in for the rehearsals of several Eurovision entries, but she was also a dancer and choreographer for the interval acts of the song contest in Lisbon in 2018. Next to this, she was the creative director of Spain and Bulgaria in Junior Eurovision in 2021. In 2022 she was the creative director for Spain and stage director of the entire Spanish production in the regular contest. In the song contest of 2022 Kaleen supported Austria, Armenia, Germany, and Georgia with their stage performances.
