Prepare some pastizzi, ftira and of course to get breathless tonight cause the Maltese are coming!
The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2018 is just a few hours ahead of us and the excitement is growing as all 16 contestants are now ready to compete for the ticket to represent the island in Lisbon.
The final of what’s the biggest music show yearly in the island, the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, is taking place tonight live from Ta’Qali’s Malta Fairs and Convention Centre (MFCC). The winner will represent the Mediterranean island at the Eurovision in May.
16 acts will compete in tonight’s show after being narrowed down by a professional expert panel. Do you want to know the names? Take a look at the list below and the running order:

- Deborah C – “Turn it up”
- Dwett (Mikhail Attard & Cherylis Camilleri) – “Breaking point”
- Eleanor Cassar – “Back to life”
- Jasmine Abela – “Supernovas”
- Lawrence Gray – “Love renegade”
- Matthew Anthony – “Call 2morrow”
- Miriana Conte – “Rocket”
- Petra – “Evolution”
- Rhiannon Micallef – “Beyond blue horizons”
- Richard & Joe Micallef – “Song for dad”
- Tiziana Calleja – “First time”
Tonight’s winner will be decided by the respective 50% combination of the votes from the Maltese audience and an expert panel, for the first time ever. 2017 representative Claudia Faniello and 2017 Junior Eurovision Maltese entrant in Georgia Gianluca Cilia will also perform during the show.
Claudia will make up a medley of three of her songs –Â You Said, Miles Away and One Fine Day.
The show will be broadcast from 20:00 (CET) onwards on TVM1 and if you are not a Maltese resident, you can still watch it on our multi-window platform. Colin Fitz will be the one in charge of bringing the show closer to the audience as the TV host.
