Tonight the Portuguese broadcaster will host the second semi-final of the 2021 Festival da Cançao, whose winner will be the representative of the country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
A total of 10 songs will participate in the second semi-final:
- Da Chick decided to go with a piece of modern and not-so-Portuguese music. Singing in English, this girl is going to make everybody enjoy. I Got Music is the title of her song.
- Tainá will sing her song Jasmim in second place. This Brazilian made this song with an intimist sound and now will try to get to the final.
- Mundo Melhor (A better world) is the song that Ariana will perform tonight. A very rhythmical but moving song that is very danceable.
- Turned-face or, as EU.CLIDES would say, Volte-face. That’s what this singer will perform at the second semi-final. A very powerful voice along with the sounds make it a good song.
- Joana Alegre, in fifth place, will bring herself to the stage to sing Joana do Mar (Joana of the sea). Good rhythm for this song written by herself that will invite people to move.
- Pedro Gonçalves brings more animated modern sounds to the Festival da Cançao. Não Vou Ficar (I won’t stay) is the name of his song. He will for sure fight to be in the grand final.
- Ana Tereza seems to love hugs -Who doesn’t?-. That’s what we can know from her song Com Um Abraço (With one hug). A lovely voice in this very Portuguese song. Let’s see what she can achieve!
- Por um Triz (Almost) is the song of Carolina Deslandes. It sounds quite similar to Amar Pelos Dois, but with the touch of Carolina, who has a lovely emotional voice.
- Graciela will sing about life as her song is A Vida Sem Acontecer (Life without happening). This young singer has a beautifully powerful voice that, for sure, will dazzle the audience.
- NEEV decided to look forward and chose English for his song Dancing In The Stars. Interesting sounds and a nice voice for the final entry of FdC 2021.
The top five songs will qualify for the final alongside the top five of the first semi-final. Jury and televoting will decide who will sing in the grand final on March 6th.
The show, which will be hosted by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira, José Carlos Malato and Inês Lopes Gonçalves as the greenroom host, will air live on RTP at 22.00 CET from the RTP studios in Lisbon.
