Today DR will hold the live final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, which celebrates its 51st edition. The Danish national show will be held at DR Studio 5 in Copenhagen and will feature 8 candidates willing to represent their country in Rotterdam.
The 8 Danish finalists were selected from all the submissions received by a professional expert panel:
- Nanna Olivia – “Hvileløse Hjerter” (Restless Hearts) (Anna David, Nicolai Levring & Casper Sørensen)
- Jean Michel – “Beautiful” (Clara Sofie Fabricius, Johannes Nymark, Jesper Hjersing Sidelmann & Andreas Jensen)
- Fyr & Flamme – “Øve os på hinanden” (Practice on each other) (Laurits Emanuel)
- Chief 1 and Thomas Buttenschøn – “Højt over skyerne” (High above the clouds) (Chief 1, Thomas Buttenschøn & Nermin Harambasic)
- The Cosmic Twins – “Silver Bullet” (Lise Cabble, Gisli Gislason, Rasmus Duelund & August Emil)
- Claudia Campagnol – “Abracadabra” (Melanie Wehbe, Emil Adler Lei & Louis Jarto)
- Mike Tramp – “Everything is alright” (Mike Tramp)
- Emma Nicoline – “Står lige her” (Stand right here) (Jeppe Pilgaard & Jacob Jørgensen)
The winning entry will be selected after two voting rounds, where the audience will have the full decision power. In the first round, the top three according to the public will advance to the superfinal, where a new round of televoting will decide the winner of DMGP 2021. Viewers will be able to vote during the show via SMS or smartphone app.
