The Netherlands: Meet the four acts that will compete at Junior Songfestival 2021

Yesterday AVROTROS revealed the four acts that will be competing at the final of this year’s Junior Songfestival, the Dutch national selection for the kids’ contest. Following the selection method of previous years, they will perform original songs at the final.

Like in previous editions, the Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS opened submissions for their national selection right after the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The process is made up of two main stages, an open casting to select the best performers and the creation of the entries that will be performed in the final.

Ten young singers have reached the final stage of Junior Songfestival 2021 and have been allocated into four different acts. This year we will see a trio, a group and two soloists compete for the ticket to Paris:

  • Loïs, Lyova y Jade
  • Mirre, Ceder, AngelinaFaye y Soline
  • Ayana
  • Priscilla

In the next few days, we will get to know the name of the groups. Also, the participants will start working on their entry for the final of Junior Songfestival 2021, which will include an original song written for each act, an official music video for the premiere and a staging for the live show.

Since the start of this selection format in 2016, The Netherlands has achieved good results at Junior Eurovision except for 2018, including three fourth places. Last year, the girlband UNITY finished 4th with the song ‘Best Friends’.
