SVT has just announced the cancellation of Melodifestivalen’s tour!
Melodifestivalen 2022 will take place in Stockholm. With the prevailing high spread of covid-19 infection, SVT does not consider it justifiable to travel around the country for six weeks with a large team. The decision was made during the week by SVT and partners.
No matter where we send from, we will do everything we can to deliver great entertainment and a crackling music party in the winter darkness .

All six programs will be broadcast live from Stockholm and within the measures that apply to general gatherings indoors. Right now it is a maximum of 500 people for public events. SVT and partners are looking at alternatives for the arena to broadcast from.
