Sweden: First Melodifestivalen 2020 act selected

Amanda Aasa is the first act of Melodifestivalen 2020!

Tonight, P4 Nästa‘s final took place in Linköping and Amanda Aasa was selected out of the eight participating acts. As done in the past few years, SVT grants a ticket to Melodifestivalen line-up to the winner of P4 Nästa.

The final of P4 Nästa took place in Linköping’s Konsert & Kongress with Felix Sandman and last year’s P4 Nästa Melodifestivalen selection The Lovers of Valdaro as guest artists. The final duel to win P4 Nasta between Amanda Aasa and Tim Loov is currently taking place. The award of ticket to Melodifestivalen was revealed before the final duel takes place. The public will decide on a winner in the final duel.

Amanda Aasa is the first act chosen out by SVT. The rest of Melodifestivalen 2020 acts will be chosen by a special jury just like the previous years. Now, Amanda will now produce a new song to be considered for Melodifestivalen and Eurovision 2020.

Why not check out a video for a song Amanda previously recorded to get an idea of her style?
