Interesting result facts
Greczula’s final entry, “Believe Me,” is entirely written by debuting songwriters, including the artist himself along with Amanda Nordelius and John Russell. The last time an entry entirely written by Melodifestivalen debutants made it to the final was Lisa Ajax’s “Torn” in 2019, written solely by Isa Molin. Since then, debutant entries by Malin Christin (2022), Tribe Friday (2022), Uje Brandelius (2023), Klaudy (2024), and Adrian Macéus (2025) have all missed the final.
Annika Wickihalder reached the final with “Life Again.” In 2024, she won the Finalkvalet, which she doesn’t need to rely on this time. The artist was born in Switzerland, where this year’s Eurovision Song Contest is being held.
The quartet Dolly Style advanced to the Finalkvalet, making them the first act to progress from the heats in Melodifestivalen 2025 that is not a solo artist.
Malou Prytz’s “24K Gold” was eliminated, continuing the streak of 16 consecutive years where the song in position 2 in Heat 3 was directly eliminated. The last time a song from this position advanced in the competition was in 2009, with Rigo & The Topaz Sound’s “I Got U,” which went to Andra chansen (Second Chance) but was eliminated there.
Malou Prytz was eliminated, ending Jimmy “Joker” Thörnfeldt’s impressive streak of 19 consecutive entries advancing from their heat to either the final or the Second Chance round. In Heat 3, he competed not only with Malou Prytz but also with Angelino’s entry, “Teardrops.”
