Interesting result facts
In the second qualifying round, Klara Hammarström was the favorite after returning to Melodifestivalen with the song On and On and On, following her previous participation in 2022 with Run To The Hills.
This round also featured Fredrik Lundman, a familiar face from Idol, making his debut in the competition with the song The Heart of a Swedish Cowboy. Alongside him, Kaliffa and Nomi Tales also debuted; the former secured a spot in the second chance round, while Nomi Tales saw her votes fall short, leading to her elimination from the contest.
Perseverance pays off—Erik Segerstedt, after several attempts at Melodifestivalen, returns and finally secures his long-awaited spot in the final. The song he presented was Show Me What Love Is.
This round also included Schlagerz, a trio formed specifically for Melodifestivalen and composed entirely of women. However, the public didn’t give them enough support, and their song Don Juan failed to qualify.
Next week, the journey continues on the 15th of February live from Västerås, where another 6 acts will compete for the golden tickets.
