About “ICH KOMME” – Finland’s Eurovision 2025 entry
Initially hesitant about returning to UMK as a contestant, Vikman found herself drawn back to the competition when she collaborated with producers Chisu and Jori Roosberg while working on her next album. From that session, “ICH KOMME” was born.
“I asked Chisu and Jori to create a song with a strong groove. They asked me straight up: ‘Do you want to go to Eurovision?’ That’s how it all started.”
The professional jury of UMK 2025 described “ICH KOMME” as a groundbreaking piece that elevates Vikman to a new artistic level. The song seamlessly blends classic Finnish disco with cutting-edge production and anthemic songwriting, creating an unforgettable listening experience.
“‘ICH KOMME’ feels like a work of art that pushes Erika Vikman to new heights. It fuses traditional Finnish disco with masterful songwriting and a hypnotic, rave-inspired aesthetic. The final climax is one of the most euphoric moments ever heard at UMK.”
With “ICH KOMME,” Finland aims to make a strong impact at Eurovision 2025. The contest will take place in Basel, Switzerland, from May 13 to 17, with Finland set to compete in the second semifinal on May 15.
