Spain: Line-up for Operación Triunfo Eurovision complete

Tonight, the popular TV show saw Ana Guerra win the right to compete at the Spanish national final as a solo artist! More details about the upcoming national selection were unexpectedly revealed a few hours ago.

This week’s fight between Agoney and Ana Guerra competing for the right to perform a solo entry at the Spanish national final is now over and finally, it will be Ana Guerra who joins the other 5 pre-qualified acts in the list of soloists for the next week’s show. They will also make up the group that will compete with the song ‘Camina’.

Despite the result, Agoney will also be competing in the Spanish final as part of a duo.

The Songs

The five finalists for the talent show Operación Triunfo will perform solo songs at the Spanish national final. Moreover, they will perform duet originals and the common song ‘Camina’. ‘Camina’ was composed by all the contestants of Operación Triunfo and Manu Guix, teacher and music arranger.

Today, the remaining eight competing songs will be revealed and the candidates will start working on them along with the teachers of the Operación Triunfo academy and the respective composers of the entries.

How will the winner be chosen?

The next Spanish representative will be decided by solely public voting after two rounds. In the first round, the audience will be able to vote for one of the nine competing acts of the show via SMS or the Operación Triunfo App. The top three of this round will go through to a super final where the winning entry will be selected following a new round of voting.

The Spanish national final will be broadcast live on 29 January from Barcelona.
