Now THAT’S what I call an international jury!!!
Broadcaster Česká Televize has revealed the names of the 10 jury members who are playing a key role in deciding which act will be flying the Czech flag at this year’s ESC. The jury has already cast its votes, which will be revealed to the world tomorrow at 18:00 CET and these will represent 50% of the scores awarded to each of the six hopefuls desperate to win a ticket to Lisbon.
In a move that can only be described as ‘far too exciting’, it turns out that each of the 10 members is a former tried-and-tested ESC performer with the first-hand experience of all the wonder, pressure and craziness that’s part and parcel of the Eurovision Song Contest. It’s a list that’s bound to stir a lot of GREAT memories for Eurovision fans:

- SunStroke Project (Moldova, 2010 & 2017)
- Sanja Vučić (Serbia, 2016)

- Liora Simon (Israel, 1995)
Now that really is a line-up I’d like to see get together to make a charity single!
Their votes will be combined with those of the public, who’ve been making their views known via app, and the winning song is set to be announced on Monday 29th January. You’ll be able to read all about it right here, of course, on ESCplus!
