Yesterday, January 31st 2023, the first Semi-final of the Spanish national final took place, “Benidorm Fest 2023”. Of the 9 competing acts 4 artists moved on to the natioanl Grand Final.

Yesterday night the first Semi-final of Benidorm Fest 2023, the Spanish national final, took place. Singer Agoney was the clear winner of the first Semi-final, because there was quite the difference (40 points) between his song and the second qualifier of this Spanish Semi-final.

Eurovision 2022
In the Eurovision Song Contest of 2022 Spain was represented by Chanel with the song “SloMo”; Chanel managed to come in 3rd (of 25) in the Grand Final. Since Spain is one of the Big Five countries, it does not have to compete in the Semi-finals.
