Serbia selects Dunja Jeličić for Junior Eurovision 2016, listen to her song!

RTS has just revealed the name of the singer that will represent Serbia at the upcoming edition of Junior Eurovision.

Dunja Jeličić will wave the Serbian flag in Malta with the song “U La La La”. Listen to it and watch the video below:

The song “U LA LA LA ” was composed by Vladimir Graić, and the text was written by Leontina Vukomanović end Dunja Jeličić. Radio Television of Serbia, in cooperation with the Children’s Belgrade Cultural Center (CBCC), selected the child – representative. Based on the requirements of RTS, a child who represents Serbia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 must be an excellent singer and dancer, have great communication skills and feel free on the scene, the CBCC sought candidates in the studio “Little School of Musical”, with the help of a committee comprised of Ivana Peters, vocal teacher and last year’s representative at the Eurovision song Contest as a composer, Ivana Tabori Obradović, editor of the musical and stage program at the CBCC, Tatjana Perović Vladušić, head of public relations and marketing at the CBCC, Vladimir Graić, author of the song and the composer of the song “Prayer”, Serbia`s entry and the winning number at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007.

About Dunja Jeličić:

Dunja Jeličić is a 12 year-old singer from Belgrade (Serbia) which gave the Serbian points at the last year’s Junior Eurovision. Dunja rose to fame because of her participation at Pinkove Zvezde, the Balkan talent show which leaded Lena to represent Serbia at the last year’s competition. The Macedonian entrant at this year’s Junior Eurovision also took part in the mentioned show this year, becoming the runner-up.

Serbia returned to the competition in 2014 after an absence of three editions. The Balkan country made its debut at Junior Eurovision in 2006 getting the best places in 2007 and 2010, 3rd. Since it’s “come back” RTS has selected all their entries internally, while they used a national selection from 2007 to 2010.
