San Marino 2023: Tonight the national final takes place

Tonight, February 25th 2023, the San Marinese national final takes place. No less than 22 contestants will take the stage in the hope of becoming San Marino’s next Eurovision representant, this time around in Liverpool, United Kingdom. The national final of San Marino’s name is “Una Voce per San Marino 2023”.

About Una Voce per San Marino 2023

Una Voce per San Marino 2023 will see 22 contestants compete for the crown and the chance to represent San Marino in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool (UK). The presentation of tonight’s show is in the capable hands of Senhit who represented the mini-state of San Marino in 2011 and 2021.

What happened previously

What happened previously in the national San Marinese final. Below you can read what were the previous phases of this national final.

  • The San Marinese national final started with 106 contestants which came from all over the world.
  • There were 4 Semi-finals that happened between February 20th and 23rd 2023. Of each Semi-final 4 songs were chosen to proceed to the national Grand Final. Next to this, there was a Second Chance round with 16 songs that came close to progressing to the Grand Final; from this Second Chance round 4 more songs progressed to the San Marinese Grand Final.
  • 2 songs were added to the players field of the Grand Final because these acts are of San Marinese origin.

Eurovision 2022

In the Eurovision Song Contest of 2022 San Marino was represented by Achille Lauro with the song “Stripper”. Achille did not make it into the Grand Final, because he came in 14th place in the Grand Final.
