Russia: Submissions opened for Kto? – National Final on December 31

Russian broadcaster “Rossya” announced that their national final for Eurovision 2014 will take place on the 31st of December. The new show is called ‘Kto?’ which could be translated as ‘Who?’.

The channel has opened the submission period for their national final which is due in two months. ‘Rossya’ has asked for entries that fit in the pop trend in Europe but also contain national elements in them. The winner will be determined by a combination of televoting (messages and calls) and internet voting. It remains unknown, whether a jury panel will take part in the voting procedure.

This year Russia finished 5th in the Grand Final with the song ‘What If’ from Dina Garipova.
