TVR has announced the candidates that will compete at the live shows of the Romanian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. A total of 126 applications were received for Selecţia Naţională 2019, but only 24 entries will take part at the semifinals.
The following candidates will compete in the live shows of the Romanian national selection for Tel Aviv:

- Xonia – Discrete
- Johnny Badulescu – Give Up Now
- Echoes – High Heels On
- 2 Gents – Ielele
- Xandra – Independent
- TWM – Make Me Your Man
- Ester Peony – On A Sunday
- Dan Bittman – Pierd
- Olivier Kaye – Right Now
- Ommieh x Anakrisez – Rock This Way
- Teodora Dinu – Skyscraper
- Georgy – Tears
- Berniceya – The Call
- The Four – The Song Of My Heart
- Steam – The Way It Goes
- Vaida – Underground
- Claudiu Mirea – We Are The Ones
- Nicola – Weight Of The World
- Dya & Lucian Colareza – Without You (Sin ti)
- Aldo Blaga – Your Journey
At the semifinals, up to five qualifiers will be selected by the voting of a professional jury panel while the televote will select an additional finalist. Keep in mind that TVR reserves the right to award a wildcard at any stages of the national selection. The overall winner will be decided by the combination of votes from an international expert committee and the audience via televoting at the live final, that will be held in February.
The semifinals of Selecţia Naţională 2019 will be held in Arad and Iași, while the grand final will take place in Bucharest.
