Just a few minutes ago, Portuguese public broadcaster RTP has announced its last five finalists for the final of Festival da Cançao that will take place in just a few days, next Saturday, March 12.
A professional jury and the audience have been in charge of deciding which songs got the biggest amount of votes, enough to make it into the final. Among the professional jury were renowned singers and presenters in Portugal such as Dulce Pontes, Dino D’Santiago, Surma, Teresa Salgueiro, Pedro Granger, Miguel Cadete and the vocalist of The Black Mamba, Tatanka
These are the five finalists:
- Milhanas – Corpo de Mulher
- Syro – Ainda Nos Temos
- Inês Homen de Melo – Fome de Viagem
- Pongo e Tristany – Dégrá.Dê
- Pepperoni Passion – Código 30
Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and José Carlos Malato were in charge of presenting today’s show and Inês Lopes Gonçalves of the green room, as she did in the first semifinal. During the gala there were several guest artists such as the band Capitão Fausto, The Legendary Tigerman, Lena D’Água accompanied by Samuel Ùria and the Spanish representative, Chanel Terrero, who has taken the Portuguese stage to show the Portuguese public her song SloMo
Next Saturday, March 12, we will get to know the next winner of Festival da Canção, and therefore the next Portuguese representative at Eurovision.
