Eurovision Eurovision 2016 Norway

Norway: Freddy Kalas wants us to “Feel Da Rush”, second chance approved!

After reports surfaced that Freddy Kalas’ song “Happy Rush” was to similar to a 2011 song “Cannabus” The MGP team had an emergency meeting to discuss what to do. Kalas is one of the 10 contestant vying to represent Norway in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. Check out our original report here.

Just two days later Kalas has re-written his track with a brand new chorus. Apparently the chorus is even better than the first! MGP-general Jan Fredrik Karlsen acknowledged the fact that Freddy is getting a second chance.  Karlsen understands that voters may be thrown because of the mix up, but he stands by the decision to let Kalas participate.

Written and composed by Broiler duo Simen Auke and Mikkel Christiansen, Trond Opsahl, Christoffer Homes and Freddy Kalas, “Happy Rush” will be an upbeat entry in the MGP competition. A clip of the song has not been released yet so we’ll have to wait and see.

Do you think Freddy deserved a second chance?
