MKRTV has confirmed Vasil will return as the Macedonian representative at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The broadcaster has also opened a call for songs to select the composition he will perform in May.
“Rarely in life do we get not just one, but 3 chances to make our dream come true. In 2019 I proudly stood behind Tamara Todevska, in 2020 I dedicated everything to YOU – but Covid said no! In 2021 I am using my personal journey and story to place my heart in your hands through my voice” Vasil said about his return. He added: “Never stop believing, dreaming and fighting for what you stand for in life. Dreams do come true!”, Vasil said.
Vasil Garvanliev was selected internally to represent North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. The singer was going to bring the song YOU to the stage in Rotterdam before the contest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now, Vasil has been given another chance of representing his country at the biggest European song contest. The broadcaster has launched a call for songs for the Macedonian performer, so composers can send their works by email to [email protected] no later than January 27th.
