Yesterday the Dutch entry “leaked” on X (former Twitter), which resulted in the Dutch delegation investigating who did this, because the leak happened one day before the official release of this year’s Eurovision song of the Netherlands. Jokingly this year’s representative, Claude, stated: “C’est la vie” (trans. “That’s life”).
The official release
Today it was the official release of the Dutch entry. The song was put online officially on streaming services, radio stations, and on YouTube. Dutch radio stations already broke the embargo on the song yesterday, which was a little unfortunate.
About C’est la vie
Claude’s entry is a pop song that starts out as a ballad. The chorus of C’est la vie is a true earworm that people will remember after a whole bunch of songs in the Second Semi-final, and hopefully also in the Grand Final. The lyrics of the song are about “mothers”, but is also about being strong, and accepting who you are. Also nice about the Dutch 2025 entry is that it is sung in both English and French, which really reflects Claude’s music.
Claude’s entry, “C’est la vie”, is written by Léon Paul, Arno Krabman, and Joren van der Voort. Krabman is known among Dutch Eurovision fans as the co-writer of Dutch S10’s 2022 entry, De Diepte.
