The Dutch Eurovision Song Contest commentator, Eurovision expert, and selection committee member, Cornald Maas, has stated that the Dutch national broadcaster, AVROTROS, will decide on the Netherlands’ 2024 entrant in the middle of December 2023.
The Dutch are progressing
The Dutch selection committee has been making progress when it comes down to choosing its next entrant internally. The Dutch selection committee has received a record-breaking number of 600 songs. The commission is occupied with listening to all of the songs, and now they are narrowing down all these songs to a more manageable shortlist.
Cornald Maas confirmed that some well-known Dutch artists has submitted a song; next to this, the Eurovision expert stated that the submissions are very diverse when it comes down to music genre and language (English, Dutch, French, Arabic, Turkish, Spanish, and Italian).
