The entrants of Swedish Melodifestivalen 2024 will be made public on December 1st 2023, stated Swedish national broadcaster, SVT, on November 1st 2023.

The entrants of Melodifestivalen 2024 will be presented by Karin Gunnarson, producer of next year’s Melodifestivalen on December 1st 2023, and one of them will represent the host country of the upcoming contest on home soil in Malmö (Sweden). The presentation of the representants will take place in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.

The dates, places, and host cities of Melodifestivalen 2024 are the following:
- Heat 1: February 3, Malmö Arena (Malmö)
- Heat 2: Feburary 10, Scandinavium (Göteborg)
- Heat 3: Feburary 17, Vida Arena (Växjö)
- Heat 4: February 24, Stiga Sports Arena (Eskilstuna)
- Heat 5: March 2, Löfbergs Arena (Karlstad)
- Final: March 9, Friends Arena (Stockholm)

Eurovision 2023
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool (UK) was won by Sweden’s Loreen with the song “Tattoo”. Sweden has won the contest 7 times; together with Ireland, which also won 7 times, Sweden has set a record for winning the contest the most. The victory of Loreen marked the second time the same artist has won the contest two times; Irish Johnny Logan went before her. It is also the first time a female artist has won the contest twice.
