Montenegro: Željko Joksimović to compose the entry for Eurovision

Montenegrin broadcaster RTCG has just confirmed to us, that the Montenegrin entry for Eurovision 2015, which will be sung by Knez, will be composed by none other than Željko Joksimović.

Željko has previously participated in Eurovision twice as an artist, in 2004 with Lane Moje for Serbia & Montenegro, which came 2nd in the Eurovision final, and in 2012, where he came 3rd for Serbia with the song Nije Ljubav Stvar. He has composed another two entries for the competition, namely Lejla (Bosnia & Herzegovina 2006), which came 3rd, and Oro (Serbia 2008), which came 6th, so it is expected that the song he will compose from Montenegro will bring them yet another final, after the small Balkan country qualified for the first time last year with Sergej Cetovic’s Moj Svijet.

Knez has said about the collaboration:

I am happy, that I am finally in the studio, and that I have started working with the song, that I will present at Eurovision. For me it’s a special honor, that Željko Joksimović composed the song. You already know his qualities, so there need to be said no more. It will be a beautiful surprise. There is hard work ahead of us, because we need to make this in a short time.”

Knez also revealed that the song will be more uptemto and happy than we’re used to hear.

More details about the song, and when it will be come out, will be announced at a later date.

Montenegro will compete in the first half of the second semifinal on May 21st at Eurovision 2015.
