The final of Rising Star (הכוכב הבא) in Israel, the talent show through IBA would be selecting its Eurovision act, has just concluded with a clear result: Nadav Guedj will be flying the colours of the country in Austria.
The 16-year-old newcomer was decided as a winner by the audience, by using a special app and the jury panel criteria.
In the last round of voting, Nadav beat Iki Levy & The Rasta Hebrew Man, who had gained 70% viewer approval. Sary Nachmias came third, with 50%. Avia Shoshani had been eliminated in the first voting round.
Last year Israel was represented in Copenhagen by Mei Finegold who failed to qualify for the grand final with her entry, Same Heart.
