TRM just held the 1st heat out of the 3 shows which are previewed in order to pick this year’s Moldovan act for Copenhagen. The show was presented by Evelina Vîrlan and Sergiu Bețnitchi and 12 acts battled out for 7+1 available spots in the grand final. They were presenting different genres from rock and pop with folk elements to beautiful touching ballads.
The Moldovan show ballet Studio Class performed as the opening act.
In tonight’s show, the candidates entered the stage in the following order (qualifiers in bold):
- Boris Covali – Perfect Day
- FLUX LIGHT – Never Stop No
- Alina Sorochina – Ascultă-mă, Tăcere
- Vlad Ray – Freedom
- Felicia Dunaf – The Way I Do
- Doinița Gherman – Energy
- Ana Cernicova – Dragostea Divină
- Diana Brescan – Hallelujah
- Tatiana Heghea – I’m Yours
- Olișevschi Rodica – Without You
- PARALELA 47 – Fragmente (public choice)
- Carolina Gorun – Turn The Tide
A mix of jury and televoting were deciding the qualifiers (50% each). A second round of public vote has decided the last quelifier: Paralela 47.
Tonight’s invited guests featured Gicu Cimbir, Irina Kitoroagă, Karizma and Christina Croitoru. Also, both Geta Burlacu and Nelly Ciobanu, who took part in the Eurovision Song Contest some years ago performed for the audience. Pasha Parfeni entertained the audience by singing its 2012 ESC entry, Lautar.
Next semifinal comes on Thursday where another 8 acts will be chosen for the grand final to be held on Saturday at TRM headquarters Studio 2 in Chisinau.
