According to the Israeli newspaper “Yedihth Achronoth”, Marina Maximilian could have been selected to represent Israel in the forthcoming Eurovision edition.
IBA through its Radio Station 88FM could have selected Marina to represent Israel in Viena and, in the case she rejects the proposal, Esther Rada would replace her .
This decision means a change in IBA’s policy which didn’t allow artists without military service to represent Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest.
On the other hand, IBA is still negotiating with EBU about the reduction of the participation fees IBA should pay. If an agreement is reached and Marina Maximilian accepts the offer, IBA would publish more information about the song’s selection procedure.
