Today, Latvian broadcaster LTV revealed the 16 artists selected to take part in Supernova 2022 as well as the competing songs.
A total of 130 songs were received by Latvian television, of which 16 have been chosen to participate in the shows of Supernova 2022. The semi-final will be held on February 5 and the Grand Final on Saturday 12, where the song that will represent Latvia at Eurovision 2022 will be decided.

Latvia at Eurovision
Latvia made its debut at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 finishing in third place. Two years later, Marie N won the competition with “I Wanna”.
Samanta won the last edition of Latvian national selection, Supernova 2020, with her song “Still breathing” but was ultimately unable to travel to Rotterdam due to the cancellation of Eurovision 2020. Then, the Latvian national broadcaster LTV selected her internally to represent the country at Eurovision 2021 with the song “The Moon Is Rising”, being the first time in the Latvian history at Eurovision where their representative was chosen internally.
Latvia has not qualified for the Eurovision final since 2016. Will the winner of Supernova 2022 manage to break this bad luck?
