This year’s MGP final featured nine outstanding artists competing for the prestigious title. Hosted by Markus Neby, Marte Stokstad, and Tete Lidbom, the show delivered unforgettable moments, including a powerful opening act by last year’s representatives, Gåte. The event also paid tribute to Norwegian Eurovision history, featuring medleys of iconic songs like Nocturne (1995), Duett (1994), and La det swinge (1985), performed by Marcus & Martinus and other special guests.

Kyle Alessandro’s victory was secured through a combination of public voting (60%) and an international jury (40%). Unlike the traditional 50/50 split used in many national selections and Eurovision itself, Norway’s system gave more weight to the televote, allowing fans to have a stronger influence on the outcome. The international jury consisted of 10 countries, each represented by a panel of five music and Eurovision experts.
