According to escflashmalta.com, Maltese broadcaster TVM could be considering the return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In the past days, there have been some conversations and discussions about the possible return of the Mediterranean country to the Junior competition.
Malta participated at Junior Eurovision since the beginning (2003) and withdrew seven years later (2010) due the financial situation of the country, TVM wanted to spend all money in the adult competition. The best Maltese place at this competition was in 2008 with the song Junior Swing sang by Daniel Testa (he came 4th).
EBU is currently negotiating with some countries to reach the minimum participation and keep the contest alive. Unfortunately, the interest of counties in Junior Eurovision has gone down in the past years and the last edition count on the participation of only 12 countries, the record of participation was in 2004 with 18 participating countries.

It would be great news if Malta were to return, even if they do insist on singing in English.
