The production company has revealed that, unlike previous years, the candidates that reach the final stage of Junior Eurovision Eire 2019 will take part in the composition of the Irish language song that they will perform in the shows.
This will be the fifth participation of TG4 at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest after having taken part in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Their best result came in 2016, when they achieved a 10th place with Zena Donnelly and her self-composition “Bríce Ar Bhríce”. Last year, Taylor Hynes represented Ireland with the song “IOU”, finishing 15th.
