RTSH has revealed their plans for the upcoming edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The country will take part in the competition for the fourth time in a row using Junior Fest as the selection method of the Albanian entry. The junior version of Festivali i Këngës was launched in 2017 and has become a tradition since then.
The Albanian broadcaster has started showing a TV advert where they unveil a few details of Junior Fest 2019. RTSH will accept applications for the national final from September 2 – 4. Candidates will be able to submit their works at Radio Tirana or on the official website rtsh.al. The winner will be selected from a gala concert that will take place in Tirana. Further details will be revealed in due course.

Efi Gjika won Junior Fest 2018 and represented Albania at Junior Eurovision in Minsk with the song ‘Barbie’; she finished 17th.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will take place on 24 November in Gliwice Silesia, Poland, under the motto #shareTheJOY.
